Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Vexlore Home ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and Account Access
The Service is intended for use by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of the children in their care. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Every child profile on your account is created, entered, and managed by you — children do not sign in or hold their own account.
3. Permitted Use
You may use Vexlore Home solely for lawful homeschool and family educational purposes. Prohibited uses include: (a) attempting to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or abuse the AI tools; (b) uploading unlawful or harmful content; (c) sharing your account credentials with anyone outside your household; (d) using the Service for any child who is not in your care.
4. Subscription and Billing
Access to Vexlore Home may require a paid subscription. Pricing and billing terms are presented at signup. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid, except where required by law.
5. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate learning plans and educational content. AI-generated content is provided as a learning aid and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing material before using it with your child. Vexlore makes no guarantee that AI outputs are factually correct, complete, or age-appropriate in every instance.
6. Children's Data and Parental Consent
Vexlore Home is used directly by parents and guardians, not by children, and not through any school. As the account holder, you provide consent for the collection of the limited information described in our Privacy Notice about each child in your care (first name and grade level) — this is the parental consent required under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for children under 13. You may review, correct, or delete any child's information at any time. We do not sell or use children's data for advertising.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its code, design, and branding, is the property of Vexlore and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you or your child create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant Vexlore a limited license to process submitted content solely to provide the requested AI assistance.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. VEXLORE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEXLORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or as required by law. You may close your account at any time; upon closure, your child-profile data is deleted per our Privacy Notice.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Vexlore is legally organized, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that state.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.
